B E A U T Y | Beauty Wishlist #1.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has just watched Zoella's new video and thought to themselves, I WANT MORE MAKE UP! Well if not, I definitely am. I have currently just sat and made a huge list of everything I want, I can assure you it is very very long! However I have narrowed it down to seven pieces I have wanted for a long time, and I am going to work hard on getting them in my life haha.

So here they are.

URBAN DECAY NAKED FLUSHED PALETTE.

I have wanted this for so long now, I borrowed my friends and instantly fell in love it gives such a lovely glow to your face without making you look like some kind of disco ball haha. I think though that it is such a reasonable price for a high end product. I mean you're practically getting three products? It's £22 and I think it would be an investment. Well this is what I am telling myself anyway haha! 

BODY SHOP ALL IN ONE BB CREAM.

I have heard such amazing things about this product. This summer I have been trying to make a concious effort to use either BB or CC creams in replacement of foundation to give my skin a bit of a breather, especially in this heat. Believe me it may not be hot to some of you, but for England, this is HOT haha! The CC cream I have from L'Oreal is good, but it just isn't the right colour for me so I am trying to find a good replacement. 

BODY SHOP HONEY BRONZER.

My oh my has this been a lust for me. I am such a matte bronzer kinda gal and I have been looking for a cheaper version of the Bobby Brown Bronzing Powder and I think this may be it, so this week I am going on the hunt to get it! It looks like the perfect shade for contouring my pale skin haha!

SOAP & GLORY SOLAR POWDER.

This is ANOTHER matte bronzer, but it has a shimmery highlight in it too, so I'm justifying it haha! A girl needs variety okay! It's summer, bronzer is a necessity for us pale girls haha! Anyway it just looks lush!

NARS 'MEKONG' EYESHADOW

I have wanted this for way over a year now. I want this for more autumn and winter, but that is literally just around the corner. I think it looks stunning just blended out over the whole eyelid. The pigmentation of all Nars products is incredible so I have high expectations for this little baby, well so I should for a shocking £18 FOR ONE EYESHADOW haha! It will be worth it, it will!

SOAP & GLORY LOVE AT FIRST BLUSH.

This blush looks like the perfect summer shimmery blush. I am a sucker for a blusher with different tones in because it just creates the most lovely colour on the skin. So I am super excited to have this in my life and try it out. 

SOAP & GLORY ARCHERY BROW PEN

I feel like I need this in my life purely because I have nothing like it, I have heard such amazing things about this. Personally I think eyebrows can make a face perfect so I'm always looking for the best products for mine. Every time I've been in my local Boots though it has been sold out, which I suppose says a good thing about the product but sucks for me haha!

B E A U T Y | Top Drugstore Summer Lip Products.

Like a lot of others I'm sure, lip products have always been my weakness when it comes to make up. There is just so much variety and they come in such beautiful colours. Lipsticks can change any make up and brighten up your face and even your outfit. I'm becoming a bit of an obsessive, it was getting to the stage where I couldn't go out shopping on not buy at least one!! Is there a lipstick rehab or something? If so I need the details haha!

Anyway, this summer I have been loving these particular ones.

1. Kate Moss Rimmel.

The Kate Moss lipsticks are so hyped up in the beauty bogging world, and honestly, so they should be! They're incredible! The pigmentation, the colour range, the finish. Ugh I love them. The shade shown in the picture is 05 but my other favourites are 01 and 03, if you want a great nude and red. The price of them is so reasonable for the product that you are actually getting. It just shows you don't need to spend a fortune to get a good lippy! Check them out for yourself here.

 2/3. Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm.

I know that a lot of people absolutely rave about these, however, for me it took me a while to fall in love with them. With me not being a huge fan of matte lip products (not sure why I picked it up then haha) these were kind of 'meh'. The thing that drew me in was the colours. I'm a sucker for a vibrant orange lip, and the one in 'Audacious' is definitely that! I'm converted and I love them, as long as your lips are well moisturised they look stunning! The other shade is 'Elusive' and this is a lovely muted but kind of vibrant pink. Take a look here.

4. Soap and Glory 'Sexy Mother Pucker' Lip Gloss.

Honestly, I have never been a great lover of lip glosses, I was always a lipstick girl. However, Serena from Gossip Girl changed my mind haha! Yes I really am THAT sad haha! She once said 'lipstick is nice, but lip gloss is more fun'. So now I am a lover of a good lip gloss, and I kid you not, this is a bloody good lip gloss!! It emphasises the size of your lips but is a lovely nude shade in 'Pink Apricot'. It also looks lovely over a lipstick. Really really pretty. Get yours here.

5. Tanya Burr Lip Gloss

The ever lovely Tanya Burr's lip glosses have been so popular, and they really are lovely. I only have one myself but that's just because they're always bloody sold out haha! My shade is 'Smile, Dream, Sparkle' and it is quite a translucent colour with shimmer in it. It looks great as a simple lip, or it's really nice on top of your favourite lipstick for a bit of shine and sparkle. You can get them online here.

T A G | The Beauty Blogger Tag.

Okay, so first of all apologies for the ridiculous picture, just thought it was lighthearted and funny. Totally irrelevant, but hey, it made me smile, haha!

Would firstly like to point out before I attempt this TAG, that I would in no way refer to myself as a 'beauty bloggeer' I mean I'm just a newbie. Just thought it would be a bit of fun, and thought the questions were interesting. 

Here goes.

1. WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING FOR?

I'm sure a lot of people say the same, but I was just so bored and was getting quite lonely in the daytimes at uni. I was literally spending my life reading through my favourite blogs and watching youtube videos. So I thought 'Hannah you really need a hobby, make a blog, it's not like people have to actually see you or hear you, just have DO SOMETHING', and so my blog began. I'm honestly such a newbie, I've literally been blogging since March, so four/five months?

2. WHO'S BLOG DID YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH FIRST?

Hmm, this is a hard one. I think it was probably Sammi's from 'The Beauty Crush'? She has always been one of my absolute favourites. Think she was one of the main reasons I decided to make mine.

3. WHAT WAS THE FIRST BLOGOSPHERE HYPED ABOUT PRODUCT THAT YOU BOUGHT?

It was either Nars' Orgasm or MAC lipsticks in general?

4. WAS IT WORTH THE HYPE?

With both of these, it took me a while to fall in love with them. But now I would completely recommend! 

5. WHAT ARE YOUR FIVE FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT BLOGGING AND BEING A BEAUTY BLOGGER?

1. I love spending time when I'm down, or stressed or even just bored, taking photographs, editing them, and creating a post that I love and that I am completely interested in.

2. I love reading through other blogs for ideas and inspiration.

3. I LOVE the community. I think it's so amazing that so many people from all across the world share the same interest and that so many people (not all) can just be so lovely to one another. Think this is my favourite.

4. I'm a bit of a saddo, I bought a book from Paperchase and I love jotting down ideas for posts that I could do in the future.

5. I love the buzz I get when I look on my Blogger and seeing that people are actually enjoying what I am putting up. While that isn't why I do it, it's just nice to know.

6. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM BEING A BEAUTY BLOGGER?

Like I said I'm only a newbie, but I've definitely learnt it takes a lot more effort to get my blog to look how I want it to. I don't know if that's just because I'm a bit of a perfectionist but I've spent more time trying to get the layout to look nice than I have doing posts I think. Still needs a lot more work I know. I'm working on it haha.

7. HAVE YOU CHANGED ANYTHING SINCE BECOMING A BEAUTY BLOGGER?

Not really. That's the thing I love about blogging. You don't need to change at all. I blog for me? I do it because it's something I enjoy to do. I don't need to change an awful lot. I mean don't get me wrong I would love a swanky DSLR camera to take fantastic photos, but realistically I don't NEED one. I am happy with how my blog is going for now. In the future? You never know..

8. WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A BEAUTY BLOGGER JUST STARTING OUT?

With me only just starting out myself I can't see myself giving great advice, sorry haha! But the one thing I have found is to mess around with the settings, see what happens. Change things up and get it how you want it. The most important thing I would say is be yourself. There's no point copying everyone elses blogs. No one wants to read practically the same blog over and over again. Be original. Take ideas and inspiration, but do your own twist on it.

9. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP FIVE MAKE-UP BRANDS?

B E A U T Y | June Favourites.

I've been thinking to myself 'oh I really need to do a June favourites post' pretty much since the end of June, but where the hell has the time gone? How is it already the 10th July? This year is vanishing, it's so scary!!

Anyway, overall this month has been pretty 'meh', like things have been going super great but then there have also been some pretty big hiccups which have kind of over-weighed all of the great things. So anyway yeah.

This is the first 'monthly favourites' post I have done, and I'm super excited, so let's get into it!

So this month, I bought myself my first 'CC' Cream. I have always been a foundation girl because my skin really isn't very good. I have always been the spotty one haha. But this is supposed to counteract against redness. Its super strange because it comes out green. Which at first I was a little dubious about. But anyway it seems to be working great for me. I've been LOVING the dewey look it gives to my skin! The only downside to it is that it states to match your skin tone, however generally I've found it doesn't. I'm super pale and it is a tad dark, but I'm working it out hahah!

MAC have been a huge winner for me this month, pretty much in general. Most of all though, I have been adoring three of their eyeshadows. The bottom three in this palette. All That Glitters, Woodwinked and Amber Lights. OH MY GOD. I literally can't even express to you how in love I am with these. I have been using them ALL month. I tend to put either All That Glitters or Amber Lights all over my lids, and then put Woodwinked in the crease. Wow, just wow. I seriously recommend. 

I bought this quite a while ago now, and I'm quite literally IN LOVE with it. haha! I am definitely a matte bronzer fan rather than something with glitter in it. I sometimes think if your blush, highlight and bronzer are all shimmery, you run the risk of looking like a disco ball, not ideal. haha. But this is literally the perfect colour for my pale skin, the perfect pigmentation, it goes on like a dream. I just love it. It is a little on the pricey side, but SO worth it. 

I know that Nars 'Orgasm' has been hyped up so much in the blogger and YouTube world, which is the main reason I bought it, but it has taken me so long to actually get into it. Now that I have though, oh my god! Must be love. It's amazing, I'm one of those make up girls who cherishes every piece of make up I own, but for some reason this one has got absolutely battered, and I don't know why, I have looked after it so well, and it's literally crumbling. This is gutting to me!! But other than that it's an amazing product and so worth the hype. Its so shimmery and pigmented, it's the best blush I own. A great dupe though is Sleeks Guipure which comes in the lace palette. Review here, like what I did there hahah! This is quite pricey at £24.50 I think it is. But it is amazing!

Another MAC love is the lipstick in 'Pink Nouveau', originally this was my least favourite lipstick. I didn't think it complemented my skin tone at all. It's a really blue toned pink and I just thought it washed me out. But I am converted! I love it! It is becoming one of my favouite MAC lipsticks. Check out my little collection here. I will definitely be re purchasing this as mine is running out. You can tell I'm loving it haha.

I recieved this perfume for my birthday back in May, and I am loving it for the summer/spring months. Its so fresh and florally. I'm terrible at explaining scents. But if you're near a local Boots or Perfume Shop go give it a sniff. I can assure you, you will love it. It's Marc Jacobs new 'Daisy' scent in 'Eau So Fresh'.

Okay, so I caved. £80 later. I am absolutely in love. The thing with Doc Martens are you either love them or you hate them. I LOVE them. I own a pair of floral Doc boots, and obviously I needed a pair of shoes. They are so versatile. Honestly I just think they are amazing and add a bit of edge to any outfit. They are pricey but they honestly last forever. Docs always need wearing in first but when you do they are the comfiest shoes ever!

Bit of a random one. But this is self explanatory. They are amazing. Go try them. Dunk an Oreo in it. Heaven. Just try them. 

Thought I would add this. I have been absolutely loving Gabby from velvetgh0st. Her videos and blog are absolutely amazing. I can relate to her so well, in literally so many ways. I have been stalking through all of her videos and she is slowly becoming my favourite youtuber. Go check her out.

L I F E S T Y L E | Growing Up.

Okay, so recently a lot has changed in my life. I think I've finally hit the wall where I've realised I'm growing up and honestly, it's really scary. It seems to have all happened so fast I've hardly had chance to step back and breathe. Does anyone know where I'm coming from here? Haha. 

I mean I know I moved away to university three and a half hours away from my parents last year, and while yeah it kid of seemed like I was becoming a 'responsible adult', realistically I wasn't. I really didn't look after myself.

But this weekend I have been back to Newcastle to move into my new house with my flat mates and we've been talking about bills, locks, fire alarms, joint bank accounts and all of the things that your parents sort out for you when you're younger. 

Also knowing that I am going to be starting my second year at uni? Where the hell did the first year go? Let alone the second one haha. 

I've also recently bought myself a little car so that's pretty scary. I mean I can drive?! Anywhere I want? I have freedom that I've never had before?

While all of this is super exciting and I don't want to take ANY of it for granted. I'm aware how lucky I am to be living a life like this, it's all just a little overwhelming. I also know that the fact that I am starting to 'grow up', I'm no longer a child, and you know when you are younger and everything is just so simple, nothing is more complicated than picking which doll to play with, or what crayon to use? I just know things will only get harder from here. That thought is quite upsetting in a way, knowing that part of my life is over and there's no chance of going back.

I guess what I am trying to say is, I think I have realised that life seems to fly past us and we tend to not cherish those moments that in the future will matter to us as a reflection.

Hope I'm not the only one having this kind of realisation? Haha.

Over the last month or so I have been spending a lot of time mooching around the shops just looking around. I've pretty much been buying staple pieces for my wardrobe because my old ones were starting to look a bit tatty. So this month I am trying to just look at getting a few different bits in my life.

T A G | The British Tag.

I was just watching Sammi's (The Beauty Crush's) video where she had created 'The British Tag' and thought it would be fun to jump on the band wagon seen as i'm all British and all that, haha!

Got my tea at the ready, so here we go.

1. HOW MANY CUPS OF TEA DO YOU DRINK A DAY AND HOW MANY SUGARS?

I'm more of a coffee person generally, but I tend to have between 1-2 cups of tea, I like one before bed haha. I also take 2 sweeteners. 

2. FAVOURITE PART OF YOUR ROAST DINNER?

My family are pretty big on the whole 'Sunday dinner' thing, and my favourite bit definitely has to be roast parsnips. They HAVE to be my Grandma's though. Mmmm.

3. FAVOURITE DUNKING BISCUIT?

This has to be bourbons, I love them when the middle goes all gooey. 

4. FAVOURITE QUINTESSENTIALLY BRITISH PASTIME?

I'd have to say going to the seaside, getting an ice cream and some fish and chips and just walking along the sea front. The sea is a definite no go in England haha. My favourite sea side is probably Whitby or Staithes.

5. FAVOURITE WORD?

I like the words 'quite' and 'potentially' haha!

6. COCKNEY RHYME SLANG?

'Let's have a butchers' (Lets have a look) and 'I'm all on my tod' (I'm all on my own)

7. FAVOURITE SWEET?

Either bubblegum fizzy bottles or flying saucers. 

8. WHAT WOULD YOUR PUB BE CALLED?

Shamington haha!

Queen Victoria or Winston Churchill.

Ermm, my favourite shop would be either Topshop or River Island. Then my favourite restaurant would have to be Whetherspoons or Nandos (I am a student after all hahah)

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away, la la la ....
And then I realised this wasn't actually British. Fantastic.

12. MARMITE?
Honestly? I've never tried it, but I don't think it's my cup of tea. The smell of it puts me off haha.
